  • LG Fusic

One of the richest multimedia music phones on the market, the LG Fusic is creating plenty of market buzz.

Its simple but attractive design is reminiscent of the iPod music player, with its circular music control, external playback buttons, and 65,000-color external LCD display. The included earphones are a little hard, and will probably need to be replaced if you’re a frequent music listener.

The Fusic is the first phone capable of streaming music onto a nearby FM radio, making it perfect for those times when you want to listen to your favorite tracks on a your car stereo system. MP3 tunes can also be beamed wirelessly to a Bluetooth-enabled headset or stereo, (although this particular feature only works with non-DRM protected songs).

Another fun feature is the ability to access Sprint TV, Sprint Radio, and Sirius music, over the Sprint Power Vision network. The Fusic can even function as an external cellular modem for your laptop, if you’re willing to fork over $39.99/month for an EV-DO mobile data plan.

Call quality is nothing special, but perfectly adequate in most cases with high volume, and few dropped calls. Support for the AIM, MSN, and Yahoo instant messaging clients is another handy communication feature.

At $179 on a two-year contract, this phone certainly isn’t cheap, but it’s one of the best music phones currently on the market, and is sure to provide a very impressive multimedia experience.
