  • Motorola C290

As the first Motorola cell phone to boast compatibility with Sprint’s PCS Vision service, this cool clamshell provides strong voice reception and nimble mobile data connectivity.

Design-wise, the C290 weighs in at a respectable 3.5-ounces and sports an extendible whip antenna to enhance reception in those seemingly dead spots. The larger-than-average battery is a reasonable tradeoff for well over three hours of continual talk time.

As of September 2006, the Motorola C290 is being offered for $0 after rebate, when you sign a two year service contract with Sprint Nextel.
